• In this book, Mantilla examines the 2009 mayoral electoral campaign in Guadalajara in an effort to gauge the difficult (to measure) concept of political culture. The results of the study are based on the author's observation of the three major candidates' campaigns and on 144 interviews with ordinary citizens, the overwhelming majority of whom appear to be thoroughly disgusted with politics and with political parties.
